Sahara Leaf (Private) Limited is an export-oriented tobacco company specialising in green leaf tobacco growing, buying and the processing of green tobacco into lamina for international markets, primarily Kenya, Dubai, South Africa, Indonesia and other Asian markets.
Sahara Leaf was incorporated in April 2017. It is owned by Tonderai Mtekesa and Siboniwe Ndlovu making it an indigenous Zimbabwean company. The directors have over 25 years work experience in the tobacco industry and have a good reputation with both customers and suppliers.
Products
Sahara Leaf manufactures two main products namely lamina, and by-products of stems and fines. Below is a description of the products;
Lamina
Sahara Leaf supplies flue cured virginia lamina blended to meet customer specifications. Lamina forms 94% of the company’s product portfolio.
By-Products
When green leaf is processed it produces stems and fines as by-products which also form part of product portfolio.
